The Fault In Our Stars - Fan Screening

Hello there,
From the day I finished reading the book - the fault in our stars, I have been nothing but attached to it, it seems weird to say that I'm attached to a book but that's the only i can put it. I'm not really a reader if i'm being honest and I've never properly sat down and read a book until...
I was recommended to read a book called "The Fault In Our Stars By John Green" At first I thought nothing of it, I just thought it was some ordinary book but Oh My God! Wasn't i wrong!
Without getting into too much detail and ruining it for those that do want to read it, I'll just say one thing; it will ruin you physically and emotionally.

Now, moving on to even bigger things because you are probably wondering why on earth I'm talking about a book that came out months ago.Well the reason behind this is ... The Fault In Our Stars Movie. Yes movie, as if they couldn't destroy me anymore with the book, they had to go make a film out of it (I'm not exactly complaining though)
On Thursday, I went to an exclusive Fan screening of the film and I don't think I've ever cried that much in my life and that is no over exaggeration, at one point my friend had to tell me to stop crying so loudly because that's how bad i was.
If you don't know ANYTHING at all on the film or the book, it is all about a girl named Hazel who has Cancer and she goes to a Support Group and meets a boy called Augustus who did have Cancer and Lost a leg and it just spirals on from there.

(Exclusive Pass I got from the Fan Screening - Hannah)

The movie portrays love and pain in so many ways and it's just an excellent version of the book. The main actors played in this film are; Shailiene Woodley who plays Hazel, Ansel Elgort who plays Augustus and Nat Wolff who plays Augustus Friend - Issac, and let me tell you something they all fit the role so perfectly.

(My Favourite Quote from the film and book - Tumblr)

I can't really go into much detail about this film because a) many people might not have read the book and b) i might get told of for spoilers so I'll just leave with you this little note and some advice...
If you do go watch the film, I advice you to firstly bring a friend so you can laugh and cry together and secondly bring tissues(lots of them) and wear not a lot of makeup because by the time the film is over, your makeup will be all down your face and i know this from experience so trust me.

The Fault in Our Stars comes out in the UK on June 19th and if anyone reading this is from America then you know the score. You can also watch the trailer here to give you a good idea of what to expect -

If you go watch the film or have already seen it, let me know in the comments what you think about it and we can maybe have a little chat about it!

Goodbye for now,
- teeeenblog

p.s before you go watch the film read the book!!!!

What I got for my Birthday Haul

Hello there,
3 days ago i turned fifteen and the only thing that is exciting about that is the fact taylor swift song - fifteen is now actually 100% reletable and so apart that, same old same old birthday stuff. BUT, i did get some amazing gifts off my friends and family and i thought what better way to celebrate my birthday, bragging about all the presents i got on the internet. I do ofcourse joke about that so please do not take that seriously, this is just sort of a heads up to say; i am in no way trying to brag about the presents i got but i am instead wanting to show you maybe some ideas on what to ask for when it is your birthday or what you could get for your friends so please do not take any of this to be bragging because it is not.

Firstly, I shall start with my parents and the two gifts they got me. The first gift doesn't need any explanation as i don't think there is any way to explain an iPhone so that's my first gift done.
The second gift is a gift i have been dying for, it is a 3-Speed portable turntable from Urban Outfitters. When I first saw this product when i was browsing online it was a must have plus the colour of it matched my room! If your birthday was coming up soon and you like things that are vintage with a bit of twist to it, I 100% recommend this

            (Urban Outfitters - £125)

Secondly, I got many gifts off my friends mainly bits and bobs as i love small gifts and not big ones.

My lovely friend bought me a beautiful matte nail varnish from topshop in the colour red. Again, this is another product I have been dying to buy for ages, every time I passed topshop I used to go in and look at all the nail varnishs.
This is defiantly worth the money and I can't wait to wear it!

                   (Topshop - £4)

She also bought me a box of limited edition "chocolate doughnuts" from thorntons as everybody knows a way to my heart is chocolate.

My other friend bought me 3 products from NSPA - a company who create bath and beauty products at a low price.
She bought me shower & bath gel, rich body butter and shower scrub; all in raspberry scent.
I haven't used any of them yet but they smell absolutely gorgeous and i can't wait to have a nice hot bath and use them.

(NSPA - Asda £1.50 each product)

I am a huge fan of friends as many of you may know and if any of youse have seen it which I hope you have, you might notice that chandler and the rest wear these jumpers that have basketball logos on and are really baggy.
Ever since then I have been eager to get one but I've never had the money or the time to go get one.

        (Afflecks - Manchester £18.00)
So two of my friends split the cash and bought me this jumper from a shop in my hometown - Manchester. This shop sells everything retro and 90's based and I love it.

These are just some of my favourite gifts I got and I hope you enjoy them and I have gave you maybe some ideas aswell!

I hope you all have a nice weekend and I shall see you all on next Sunday!

Goodbye for now

ps I have another haul coming in about 2 weeks :)

Lazy Girls Club - Beginning or the End?

Hello there,
I have come to the relisation that i suck at dieting and motivating others, I go to the gym 5 times
a week and try (emphaises on the try) to eat healthy but it never seems to work, theres always a packet of crisp or a chocolate bar standing in my way.Sometimes i dont even know how i end up just eating loads i just do.
Anyways, what i am basically trying to say is a suck at this, the whole lazy girls club series infact the only thing that is true is the lazy and the girls so a thought striked me instead of talking about dieting and exercise, why not talking about food and baking things because thats more fun (for me anyway)

So this is just a quick little update on the series so you all understand what's going on!

Goodbye for now

Nina Nesbitt, Company magazine & My Mad Fat Diary

Hello there,
I would just like to apologies due to the fact i have no phone and no laptop as silly me broke both of them so i am doing this post on my mums phone and it's probably not very well set up and a bit rough,so i am sorry.

As it is Sunday and tomorrow is the 17th of February a.k.a Monday and it is a big day for me mainly and lots of things are going on, i thought i would talk and introduce things that are happening because why not?

For starters, an album is being released, exciting right?
The album 'Peroxide' is by a beautiful young lady called Nina Nesbitt who is extremely talented and lovely.I have been a fan of her since 2012 and i can honestly say that her music gets better and better each time. The album has been a very long wait and now look where we are, a day before the release! If you want to listen to a preview of 'Peroxide' before buying it - click here - and then if you have suddenly fell in love with her, You can pre-order it online on iTunes now or wait until Monday.

While we are on the subject of Nina Nesbitt, She has recently featured in the Magazine 'Company' talking about her album 'Peroxide' and the things that have inspired her.

There are other features in the magazine but if you want an introduction to her, its defiantly a great start so go on, run to the shop, buy a copy and have yourself a good read.

Secondly, Like i said its a busy busy day!
My Mad Fat Diary! I have mentioned this show in one of my previous blogs so probably most of you know what it is so i don't have to do a full introduction. Well if you haven't already guessed, after a year of waiting, it is finally coming back and i couldn't be more excited.
The new series starts on E4, Sky 136 at 10pm so if you ain't busy which i hope you are not, grab yourself a cup of coffee or hot chocolate if you like, get your duvets and sink into a mind of a 17 year old girl and last but no means least, enjoy it.

So, don't forget, Monday 17th February, it's now a big day for us all! I hope you all enjoy watching my mad fat diary, eating your brownies, reading company and listening to peroxide!
I'm off to enjoy this lovely cake i made (I'm such a star bakery i know)

Goodbye for now

Lazy Girls Club - Baking Brownies

Hello there,
Im not a professional at cooking food nor baking for that matter although i do take food tech for GCSE but I don't think that counts as being a master chef. So i researched and gathered some easy and simple recipes aren't overpowered in calories and shall be doing posts on them for the next couple of series.

But before i start, i should let you know i have been very ill this week and couldn't gather all the ingredients so i took the lazy way out and bought a simple packet   so its your choice whether you want to do it my way or the hard way.

I represent to you - Brownies

You will need two things - a chocolate brownies mix (preferably Sainsburys) and a packet of Oreos to start off with. Then you will need an egg, water and oil. Do you think you can manage all them ingredients?

To start of with, follow the simple instructions on the packet; mix the mixture with an egg and gradually add water etc until you get a lumpy texture.

After you have do those things, you then need to grease the tin of some sort with butter so the brownie mixture is able to come out. As you can tell I'm a master at greasing tins.

Here comes the tricky part so make sure you are paying attention, you will need to create a small but thick layer of brownie mixture at the bottom of the tin.

Now, the oreos. Grab your packet, open them and start laying them out one by one making sure they are spacing in between for each brownie otherwise it will hard to cut and you'll have one huge mess and you'll only get one good brownie with an Oreo in it.

You will then need to cover up the oreos with the remaining mixture in the bowl. It's okay if you do not have enough mixture to cover as the brownies will always rise in the oven.

Time to stick those brownies in the oven. Leave them to bake for a good 25 minutes until they look ready and are ready, you will need to leave them to cool for 10 minutes before you start cutting them and eating them.

Once they have cooled and ready, slice yourself a piece and enjoy, la brownie de oreos

By now, most of you are probably wondering how on earth has this for anything to do with losing weight?
It hasn't really if I'm honest, it's just an extremely good way of watching your calories when snacking, we all enjoy a chocolate time to time, yes? So instead of just going out a buying it from the shop where there is a lot more calories, why not make it yourself at home ay? It's easy enough and you get a treat.

Each brownie slice you have just made or are going to make is - 293 calories which in comparison to shop bought brownies is 407 less and to me that's win, win situation.

I hope you all enjoy brownie making and enjoy eating them because they are extremely delicious.

Goodbye for now,

-teeeenblog

p.s spice things up abit and try using other biscuits instead of oreos, e.g digestives.

Tv Shows & Lazy Sundays

Hello there,
Sundays are a time to be lazy, a time to scrap your hair up and abandoned the makeup for a day. If you, reading this actually do something on a Sunday other than sit and eat, i think you probably might want to stop reading as this is totally irrelevant to you and is only for our lazy readers... Unless you want some tips and advice on lazy Sundays which I'm pretty sure you do.
Anyway, what better thing to blog about then my 5 favourite TV shows? Considering I'm an expert on them!

1. Friends
I absolutely adore every single episode of friends, i could sit there all day long and watch it(that is what i do)
I sure hope that i don't need to explain what it is about or even give a short explanation of it because hopefully you lot have already heard of it and the name gives it all away. For Christmas, i got the box set as a lovely present of my parents and so every Sunday, i sit, drink tea and watch my friends box set.
If you want to watch it, you can find it online somewhere or you can catch it on comedy central weekdays from 4.30pm
Friends Boxset
2.Awkward
I discovered this show around 4 months ago when i was on bed rest for 3 days and was extremely bored.
Although normally i would never watch a show like this as i have seen it advertise and never thought anything of it but there's just something about it that made me continue to watch it. Some of the dialogue is a bit cringey but it is based on a bunch of teenage girls so you are ought to expect that.
If you want to watch it, you can find all the series here or catch it on weekdays on MTV - Awkward

3. My Mad Fat Diary
Words cant describe how much i love and adore this show and how much i can connect to it. Parts of the show and series are very series and will probably make you cry and other parts of hilarious and will probably make you cry with laughter. If you are a teenager yourself you are more than likely be able to connect with this show and understand it as it is from a teenagers view of life and problems.
If you want to watch it you can catch the first series on 4oD now and you better hurry up because series 2 is nearly out - My Mad Fat Diary

My Mad Fat Diary Series 1
4.Breaking Bad
Now, i am only up to season 1 episode 3 so I'm not a major expert on this show but from what i have seen so far, it is brilliant. Again, normally i would never watch a show like this but hearing several people talk about it, i was determined to see what all the fuss was about and oh am i glad i did.
You'll have to find out yourself like i did what all the fuss is about and then you can thank me, to watch search breaking bad the episode you want to watch and click the first thing that comes up.
Here's the first episode - Breaking Bad S1 E1

5. American Horror Story
I don't even where i start with this show, its so bloody amazing and so interesting. If you are into Horror stories and A LOT of horrible stuff then this show is perfect for you, There are 3 seasons to it and all of them tell different stories, i suggest watching season 1- Murder House first, obviously but personally i think that one is the best although it is extremely confusing, it is incredible.
You can find all the series here -American Horror Story: All Seasons
American Horror Story - Murder House
Happy February by the way, i don't really have anything exciting going on this month apart from my birthday so i will probably just blog about that.
Some wise words there chandler bing/ my motto on a Sunday

I hope you all enjoyed this weeks post and you all have a good week.
Goodbye for now

Lazy Girls Club - Temptation & Dieting

Hello there,
I want to say sorry for not posting last Sunday, sometimes i run out of ideas and so i don't post so if you have anything you would like me to blog about or have any ideas that i could maybe do then please leave a comment down below or follow me on twitter and tweet me - @teeeenblog :-)

Anyway, Moving on.
Carrying on with the series 'Lazy Girls Club' i thought i would discuss temptation and dieting as that's something i find particularly hard with the whole losing weight situation and its probably the most relative subject. So if you are like me and cant say no to all things sweet then hop on board the train and let the 'hunger' games begin ( i find myself hilarious )

Again, i am probably the worst person to give you advice considering yesterday i spent my Saturday night eating dominoes and by dominoes i mean a lot and watching films but on the other hand i may be the best(not really) as this subject is something i relate to daily.

Well,Well,
Temptation is always the hardest stage of losing weight and also the worst. Just when you thought you were on track, someone has to bring out the chocolate bar and with three simple words 'do you want some' you are gone and as my mother says when i say no 'its okay you go to the gym' but is it really okay to say yes to everything tempting just because you go the gym? I don't think so.
Yes, you can have 'cheat days' that's a totally different subject but you cannot just eat and eat unhealthy foods just because you go to the gym because unfortunately that's not how it works. You may not gain any weight but if you were to live like that, you would never lose, you would just stay the same or gain a little. Which is good for some people; don't get me wrong but if you started dieting and going to the gym to lose weight then well, you wouldn't get any where with that method.
I think what i'm trying to say is yes, you can have 'cheat days' but you cant just going rushing into things when someone brings up the words 'chocolate' or 'mcdonalds. Trust me, its hard but with a bit of practice with the words 'no thankyou' you'll soon get there..

Dieting is also a struggle for me, it normally ends up that i start on Monday and end on the same Monday or i just never start, but i did started dieting at the start of the new year, eating vegetables and all things healthy and that in fact lasted a week so at least give me a bit of credit for that ey.
I haven't really got any advice or pick me ups on dieting considering i always fail so i just thought i would give you a 'shopping list', things you could maybe go and buy from your local shop and cook.

                                         Hannah's Healthy Shopping List
                                                      - Reduced cheese
                                                      - Salmon
                                                      - Baby Potatoes
                                                      - Carrots
                                                      - Whole Meal Pasta
                                                      - Bananas
                                                      - Salad
                                                      - Prawn Cocktail

So there, that's just a few things you could add onto your shopping list this week to 'spice' things up or try something creative.

Goodbye for now

p.s i hope you are all enjoying this series :-)
